More Information

Wooden Cleats are used to attach wooden Gravel Boards to square Wooden Posts or Concrete Mortised Posts when used for Close Board or Palisade fencing.
Mark wooden posts with a pencil at the required height. Position the cleat on the post so that the gravel board will be under the fencing. Each cleat is attached to the post with two galvanised nails or two exterior grade wood screws. It is best to pre-drill the holes in the cleat to avoid any chance of the cleat splitting. Screw or nail the gravel board to the cleat. Again pre-drilling is recommended.
