Large trellis panels can be made to measure with a close space square hole. These large trellises have many uses around the garden, including screening features like pergolas or disguising eyesores like dustbin areas. In addition, as our smaller holed trellis panels are so strong, they are ideal for supporting trailing or climbing plants.

Crestala’s close space trellis has 100mm (4″) Batten centres and is made using 19mm x 38mm pressure-treated batten. This gives a trellis hole size of approximately 65mm x 65mm (2.5″ x 2.5″).

We make many close-space trellis panels to fit over closeboard bays as part of a closeboarded fence. Closeboard bays can vary in length, so we make them a little longer than the bay sizes required and leave the end batten off so they can easily be cut down and the end batten nailed in place for a perfect fit in each bay.

Capping is included in the prices and will be fitted unless you specify otherwise.

Safety note– Having a smaller hole size means these trellises have more battens than a standard trellis. This, coupled with our heavy 19 x 38mm batten, makes the panels very heavy and difficult to manhandle.
