Standard cleft rails are 9’6″ long, and the sawn softwood posts Posts are set at 9′ centres.
Our square sawn posts for cleft rails have two or three pairs of mortises to take the rails.
Posts can be mortised with a single larger hole if requested when ordering. As these will be non-standard, they will not be returnable.
We hold the blank posts in stock, and they are mortised to match each customer’s order.
