Square pegs are easy to use for fixing path and flower bed edging or one board high raised beds. With two lengths, it makes corners easy. The spacing and number required will depend on the usage. However, the spacing should ideally be no more than 1.2m Maximum in any case. Each square peg is four-way pointed to make knocking in easier. The edging board or gravel board should be attached to the pegs using external woodscrews.
Using a cheap wood screw is not a good long-term idea.
Tip – If the top of the peg shows, then use a saw to carefully put a slope on the top of the peg using the top of the board as a guide, thus reducing its visual impact. Take care not to mark the top edge of the board.
