Adjustable Hooks and Rides

A pair of galvanised Adjustable Hooks and Rides are suitable for most widths of frame, ledged and braced gates. This makes them ideal for use with Crestala's range of standard or heavy frame Closeboard, Tongue & groove and Palisade gates.

As they are two-way adjustable, they allow the gate to be "tweaked" to get the best possible alignment. This is particularly useful when lining up pairs of gates. 

The Narrow hooks on plates with 19mm pins are only suitable for some larger sizes of adjustable hinge. Please check the hole size on your rides before purchasing.

Installation Tips
  • These hinges are very easy to fit; if they are occasionally oiled, they will last as long as the gate.
  • By using wedges under the gate, you can finely adjust the gate to the correct position to fit the hinges and hold it there.
  • For security and to prevent the theft of your gates, it is best to reverse one of the hanging pins so that the gates cannot be easily lifted off the hinge pins. It does not matter which pin is reversed, top or bottom. It looks better if the top hook is reversed so the pins face each other.

Occasional oiling will keep the hinge working smoothly.
