Product Specifications
Materials:Pressure treated softwood. Unless stated otherwise, all posts are pressure treated with the latest generation preservatives to UC4 standard for in-ground contact. The treatment companies say that this standard should give an anticipated lifespan of 15 years. To extend the life of the fence and gate posts, you may want to consider adding a timber treatment or wood preserver that can add extra protection to the part of the post going into the ground.
Installation Tips

To support the gate's weight, the post hole has to be deep. Use a tape measure to get the hole to the desired depth before dropping in the post, as most larger gate posts are heavy, difficult to handle, and can be hard to get back out of the hole to adjust the depth.

We have both fast-setting post mix and the more traditional Ballast and cement to make up a dry mix. Either of these options is suitable for securely fixing fence or gate posts in position.

Health & Safety
