Product Specifications
Materials:Pressure treated softwood. Our 150mm square posts are pressure treated with the latest generation preservatives to UC4 standard for in-ground contact. To extend the life of the fence and gate posts, you may want to consider adding a timber treatment or wood preserver that can add extra protection to the part of the post going into the ground.
How to Use

Gate Posts, four-way weathered (pyramid top) on one end as standard.  As these posts are used to support gates or heavy fencing, they should ideally be sunk at least 900mm into the ground and secured with concrete.

Edge chamfering and router lines can be added to posts if desired.

If you can, we do recommend adding an extra treatment to any timber that is in contact with the ground, particularly from 100mm (4") above ground level to 450mm (18") below ground level.

Installation Tips

We have both fast-setting post mix and the more traditional Ballast and cement to make up a dry mix. Either of these options is suitable for securely fixing fence or gate posts in position.
