Field Gate Adjustable Hanging Sets with Hooks on Plates

• Suitable for use with wooden field gates hung on wooden posts or brick/concrete piers.
• The set comprises of a 2″ top band, adjustable gate eye complete with heel clips, 2 x hooks mounted on plates complete with fixing bolts and coach screws.
• 3 sizes to suit 900mm (3′) to 4.3m (14′) gates.
• This set can be used for hanging between or behind posts.

Tools

• You will need a 19mm auger to drill through the gate-hanging stile for the bottom adjustable ride.
• A 10mm drill bit for wood at least 100 long is required to drill the holes for the top strap fixing bolts through the gate top bar.
• A 12mm drill bit, either for wood or masonry, depending on the type of posts/pillars used.
• A selection of spanners/adjustable wrenches.
  As the nut, bolt and coach screw sizes can vary, please check the spanner and drill sizes required when you receive your set.

Security

To make it harder for your gates to be stolen, it is normal practice to reverse one of the pins that the top and bottom rides fit onto. This means that the gate(s) cannot just be lifted off the hinge pins and removed. It does not matter which; we prefer reversing the top pin so that the pins are facing each other. We think this looks neater.

• All holes must be correctly positioned and drilled. Check carefully before drilling.
• Gates cannot normally be returned once drilled or marked in any way.
