Concrete Repair Spurs for Wooden Posts rotted at ground level

Long-lasting concrete repair spurs are used to repair & extend the life of wooden fence posts that have rotted off around ground level. They are bolted or coach-screwed to the damaged post and then held in position by fast-setting postmix.

You can also fit concrete spurs to a new wooden post as part of the initial fence installation. The concrete spur can extend the life of your post without the need for future remedial work.

Please note: Repair Spur tops may be rounded or sloped.

How to Use

Refer to the infographic, which shows how a concrete spur is used. (Courtesy of Allen Concrete)

Break out the concrete down the side of the rotten post where you want to fit the spur. A Hexagonal Point and Chisel Bar is ideal for this task.

The spur is concreted in place using a quick-setting post mix down the side of the post to be repaired, and the new spur. Then attach it to the broken post above the break using M10 coach screws; if you can access only one side of the post, or use coach bolts; if you can access both sides.

Recommended Aftercare

Clean with soapy water or mould and mildew cleaner, then rinse with clean water.
