Concrete Gravel Boards for Closeboard and Picket Fencing

Concrete Gravel Boards for use with concrete mortised posts for closeboard and picket fences.

The boards are 2.885m and 2.3. long, 50mm (2") thick and 150mm (6") high. They are made to fit into 3m or 2.4m bays of closeboard or picket/palisade fencing. Each end is slotted to allow for attaching to concrete mortised posts with pronged metal cleats, and there is a hole in the centre of the board for a bolt or screw to fix the gravel board to a centre stump.

How to Use

The gravel boards are attached using two-pronged galvanised metal cleats that come complete with a bolt and two large washers.

The prongs are inserted into the holes in the concrete post
Installation Tips

Handle and transport with care. The boards should never be carried or transported flat. Until the boards are correctly mounted between mortised concrete posts, they are prone to cracking in the middle.
Recommended Aftercare

Washing with soap and water and then spraying twice with a clear water repellent will help prevent algae from building up on the surface of the concrete. Algae can be removed with our Mould and Mildew cleaner.
