Crestala's Palisade (Picket) Gates

Cosmetic treatments can be added later if desired. It is best to allow treated Palisade Gates to dry for several months before applying cosmetic treatments such as paint. Treating with oil can begin immediately. All treated softwood gates are susceptible to natural movement or shaking (e.g., cracks in the timber) as the wood expands and contracts during normal weathering. This is not considered to be a defect unless very severe.
