Crestala's Palisade (Picket) Gates

Crestala Palisade (or Picket as it is sometimes called) garden gates are manufactured on-site in our workshop by our skilled Gatemakers in various styles. We can make non-standard sizes to order. All Palisade (picket) garden gates manufactured by Crestala are robust yet offer excellent value for money. The timber used is pressure treated, joinery grade, slow-grown Scandinavian redwood. The preservative protects against rot and insect attack. Cosmetic treatments can be added later if desired. It is best to allow treated Palisade Gates to dry for several months before cosmetic treatments like paint are applied. Treating with oil can be carried out immediately. All treated softwood gates are susceptible to natural movement or shaking (cracks in the timber) as the wood expands and contracts during the normal weathering process. This is not considered to be a defect unless very severe. All Palisade gates supplied by Crestala must be stored, treated and cared for properly before and after hanging.
