Frant Slatted Top Tongue and Groove Gates

Crestala's Frant slatted top tongue-and-groove gates are crafted on-site in our workshop by our Gate Makers. All our Frant gates are made to order to your specified dimensions and customised to meet your needs. Frant slatted top tongue and groove gates are constructed with durable, pressure-treated timber. This guarantees long-lasting protection against rot and insects, ensuring a gate that can withstand the elements. We can produce special widths and heights. Please see the Made to Measure section below.

Important: When ordering, please specify in the Notes section of the Cart page whether you require a right-hand or left-hand hanging gate. This enables us to position the bracing for the gate correctly.

The hand of a gate is identified by examining the front of the gate and determining which side of the gate the hinges will be attached to. Hinges on the right = right-hand hanging.

All Frant Gates are custom-made and bespoke; therefore, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges.

We recommend fitting adjustable hinges to allow for easy adjustment and alleviate any seasonal gate movement. We can supply all the fittings you need to hang and secure your new Frant gate.

Recommended Aftercare

Like all wooden gates, Frant slatted top tongue-and-groove gates made by Crestala need to be stored, treated, and cared for properly before and after hanging. Please read the recommendations on our “Crestala Gate Care Information” sheet for more details.

All treated softwood gates are susceptible to natural movement or shaking (cracks in the timber) as the timber expands and contracts during the normal weathering process. This is not considered a defect unless it is very severe.
